West Tennessee | I guess for your purposes you can do it however works for you. I would imagine you are correct that to print checks from quickbooks it will want it setup as a bank account though. We have our line of credit setup as an "other current liability". We don't write checks off of ours though. Normally just online transactions into and out of our checking account. We just post these as general journal entries and you can do that also by assigning an entry number as your check number. If all of your checking transactions are going through there then this will be too cumbersome probably.
