Northern, IL | There's a local guy that has been doing no-till corn on corn for about 15 years. He just owns the land and hires everything done. He refuses to plant beans or do any kind of tillage what so ever except an nh3 bar. I work for the local Co-op and we do all the spraying and fertilizer for him. We used to put on all his nh3 for him until a couple years ago when we just couldn't get the applicator to go through the trash without plugging. Tried high speed John Deere coulter applicators and a couple different DMI applicators even with the knife between the old rows nothing worked.
Would a 3pt DMI applicator with coulters on a yetter no-till coulter cart be able to go through the trash without plugging? My neighbor has a yetter no-till caddy on a case ih drill. What do you guys think?
