WC Mn/Dakotas | I would agree with mwester. I have wanted to put some of this drone inspired tech on one of my planes for several years. As a commercial and ag pilot i could legally and efficiently cover large amounts of commercial acreage. As a precision ag consultant it sure would be nice to have. I have not committed to spending the money to gear up all by myself yet. My customer base isnt large enough nor are all my customers ready to pay for the added imagery above the landsat and fsa naip i currently use. Im sure it will get there sooner or later. Drones are fine, but really arent capable of the quantity of acres that you need to have to realistically be a commercial operation. And a majority of current applications dont need centimeter resolution. Resolution from flying 2-5000 feet would serve most users very well. | |
