Subject: RE: Dyson vs Shark Vaccums

NE Nebraska
We have a Dyson Ball for the house and a Shark navigator lift-away for the farm office rugs. Both have a push-button bin to empty.
The Dyson is a lot tighter machine with more suction. It's a heavier machine (Dyson is 17# vs Shark 13#) that's more cumbersome to use and pushes harder on plush carpet. It cost 2-3 times that of the Shark. The ball makes it so I can't vacuum under beds so they sell the add-on tool kit. But the Dyson really gets the job done!
The shark has two washable filters (one foam and one felt) and a hepa filter. I don't care for the shark as much. We get a lot of dust in the rugs at the farm and it doesn't take much for the dust to blow out the front where the hepa filter is located.
I'm forever washing filters & replacing the hepa filter.
