| Bought 50 acres for 4000/ac last may. 45 tillable.
There's 95 acres/68 tillable 2 miles away been for sale 2 years now. Started at 6800 asking price. Down to 3800 as of now. (Given it is on a hill) and the unfarmable ground is bottom ground swampy that MAY BE able to be farmed with substantial tile and some ditch work. Been steadily decreasing. Farmer friend, down the road maybe 3 miles,is having to buy out family, appraiser valued at over 6k/a he is having to pay. Family owns a few dimes over 1000/a. Just a small update my area northwest of central Ohio. | |
