Subject: Using a steering wheel puller, first time. How much torque

Western-Central Lower Michigan
Never took a steering wheel off. Have a 22yr old CIH that I need to remove the steering wheel. Directions said to use PB blaster, (I did) I set up the puller with some torque and will leave it all weekend.
The big question is how much do I crank on that puller? I dont want to mess this up and break/strip the pulling bolts (1/4" fine thread) . I do need to remove the wheel, not break it in place.
