Subject: HELP! 13.5L engine trouble

N.E. MT
Took our 9330 into momma Deere because it had a miss. They claim the compression is low on 2 cylinders and it needs a reman put in. We were suspicious cause it used a lot of oil. There reman cost is $51,000 + installation. 2-year 2000 hour warranty. Did a google search and found a few other reman suppliers for 25-30k. Has anyone else ever used a reman from all-states or Diesel engine exchange? They want to order the motor first thing this morning.
Not sure what to do, the last guy just slapped it back together and auctiontimed it to me, I'm not that kind of person. we put 1500 hrs on it with it running pretty poor. What's the call? 2300 hours on the tractor.
