Subject: RE: Acra-plant V shot- Anyone running these??

badgerguy - 2/22/2017 20:02 I'm currently using the totally tubular system with Keeton seed firmers,on JD XP units, planting into fall strips. I'm thinking of switching to the Acra-plant with the starter fertilizer tube(V Shot). I am wondering if these truely keep the seed trench open, which results in more uniform stands as advertised. How long will they last? Do they drag residue?? Mainly looking for pros and cons of this product before I purchase them. Thanks

If there's any moisture in your soils, they smear the bottom of the furrow very badly.  The last thing you want is something dragging in the soil below the blades!
