Subject: RE: Late planted Rye cover crop

Southeast MN
Planting into it green? I'm going to run a Krause 5250 to put the beans in 10" rows. Has a flat bar rolling basket. Planning to terminate rye and put down pre emerge herbicide at planting. I have 5 acres seeded at 50lbs per acre(early) and 5 acres seeded 25lbs(late) have to see what I like. I'm liking the idea of the rye to control weeds early. Actually wondering if I shouldn't skip residual herbicide at planting there and put it on later but I'm not that brave yet.
