Subject: RE: Late planted Rye cover crop

NW IL, Mercer County
I planted some rye around that same time as you in November. It can be rowed from the road now as of a week ago. You will be surprised with how much growth you will get out of it this spring. Rye always catches me off guard, I say that I'm going to let it grow another week and by then it grows a foot and I wished I had sprayed it. I'm talking ahead of corn, ahead of beans I dont care what size it is because it doesnt seem to affect the beans at all.
