The one that comes with the fmx is 1.5" ball. Many people have said that the fmx is simply too heavy for the 1.5" ram mount ball and that it really should probably use a 2.0" ball. Another option that I have seen is to use a pana vice bracket. I haven't tried either one but I agree that the one that comes with the FMX does have a tendency to slip.
