Subject: 635F 3" vs 4" sickle

We have one of our 635 hydraflexes that someone has converted to the 3" sections instead of the 4" and we are going to switch it back to the 4" just so they are all the same but it got me curious why would you switch to the 3"? We have never noticed a difference in performance and would like to only have to stock one set of parts.
