Eastern Shore of MD | I think the default setting worked fine on your test field because it has a lot of differentiation; tracks mainly. When you get into a field of corn or beans that is nice and uniform you may (probably) need to adjust that up. I have just started planning all my missions at ~380 ft. You will also get a lot more acres per flight that way, with more resolution than you'd ever need for spotting N deficiency or whatever your looking for. I have never had a map not stitch at that altitude, but have had many not stitch at 240ish. I flew some tasseled sweet corn at 500ft and was still really impressed with the image definition, but its not legal to do, so keep that in mind.
Good question on the elevation - we are so flat here I never thought of that. | |
