Just a thought, 'real parents' are the people that raise you, the ones who are there through the good and bad. They have all the rights and responsibilities of raising the child. 'Biological' or 'birth' parents are the ones responsible for your genetic makeup and birth. Both are important, but the wording can be a very sensitive subject to all parties involved including the children. I'm speaking from experience.

I agree with you though. Sometimes such a painful decision to give up a child for adoption may not be something a biological parent wants to re-live, even if it was for all the right reasons. For others it might be a regret. I guess people need to be sensitive to the others involved.
