| I know of a couple situations where the birth parents were contacted for various reasons. They think of you but they also have lives of their own. Years ago it may not have been their decision to give you up for adoption. It's a good idea to contact them about family illnesses but be ready for the unknown. I'm sure you could contact a counselor and they could recommend books on how to go upon this. You might not want to wait too long since one or both may have passed away. Most come away realizing how lucky they were to have their adoptive parents. Good luck | |
