| My wife and her brother are adopted. Wife's birth mom was a high school girl at the time. Wife has some health issues and doctors were always asking about family history. She contacted agency to have them get any info of any health issues. The birth mom wanted to meet my wife so we did. Wife never had a desire to meet her birth parents and she said her adopted mom and dad are the ones that raised her. Her birth mom wanted to be in our lives way to much and wife had to tell her, that she was thankful that she (they) choose to adopt out as the alternative choose. That the only reason she was looking was for health reasons. Wife has never met her birth father but he wrote her a very professional letter. Birth mom lives 25 miles from us but adoption was over 200 at the time.
