C IL | I suggest making a multi-year budget to match the proposed lease terms, and get a written lease deal, and scrupulously honor the terms.
You can have some bigger equipment if you have outside income. Older bigger equipment is relatively cheap and at least locally, banks are extremely responsive to the ability to lock in a future customer, especially one that has a reasonable financial plan and prospects for the future. Lots of cash sitting around in small town banks begging to be loaned out.
Not sure what your location or elevator issues are but you can put dry corn in your own bin 24-hours per day and on weekends when the elevator is closed. Could significantly alleviate a harvest time crunch. FSA has pretty good terms on bin loans. | |
