Do not know about wheel lines.  I do know reels are not much fun.  I am thinking about the type where you have to lay pipe, pump discharge is high pressure (pipes like to blow apart for my neighbors), have to be there to move reel often, maybe even stop it during the night., water comes out with such pressure and volume that it can break off corn.   No, pivots would be a much easier system to run, provide the pivot is not old.
