| +1 for a clean install. Drop in another RAM stick and you will see a big improvement too. WIN 10 installed from a USB stick has gotten very easy, drivers will almost always download and install themselves when connected to internet, I no longer prep drivers like I used to for win 7 installs. I see you're on 8.1 so you'd have to upgrade to win 10, which is still available through the accessibility loophole.
