Gettysburg, PA | I understand their is controversy and I am not all that happy to be taken them. High cholesterol is genetic in my family. I am not overweight, I eat very well and exercise religiously. My good cholesterol is what really drives my number up and the medical opinion has been established that over 200 is bad. The statins continue to be recognized and endorsed by the vast majority of the medical world. I guess I could simply ignore my Doctor's advise, but, I don't really like the accusation of the author that it is my "warped" decision to take the drug. If these other doctor's are so sure of their "findings" then I think they should have little problem breaking through to the AMA on their alternatives. you're right, constant study is needed. But, I resent the fact that I am supposed to be the one studying! All those damn smart doctors and government officials should be figuring this all out!!!! :) |
