CIH Farmer, I understand your concerns. And BackNBlack, you gave a sincere and valuable advice there. I would say that from having no imagery at all to a simple RGB image there could be some value, and from RGB to NDVI (1 band, X bands, and other kind of "health" and "stress" indexes) there is very little value.
What should you expect from a drone? I think you will be able to answer the question as soon as you get one and experience flying, experience processing, then making your own conclusions.
