So maybe I should ask, what should I expect from using a drone? I would like to use it for my own farm but also was hoping to get hired out by some neighbors to help pay for the drone and costs for processing. Should I be looking more into making prescription maps? I'm not an agronomist, so I really kind of shy away from making recommendations, but would be more than willing to work with the farmer's agronomist and provide him maps they would want.
I have thought about talking to some of the local agronomists as to what they would be looking for, just 2 things hold me back - 1. I want to know what I'm talking about before I sit down with them so they know I'm serious and 2. I'm afraid I'll do the research, they just go and buy the drone.
