I rebuilt the back subframe on a Wilson trailer. You could mount the axles at whatever height you wanted. Consider using rectangular tubing to not have a place for sand and salt to sit.
I need to crawl in above axles and kingpin on mine and wash out crap. Last time I did that tare weight went down 500.
that is correct and I'd raise my 5th wheel also. I have an 8" riser on mine.
