Subject: Yetter rolling baskets instead of row cleaners, in covers

We have been planting corn into big covers for several years. It has its challenges but for us it's a good practice. But then there are the headaches. When the covers get to big the row cleaners wrap. Usually end up taking them off. We run with our interplants down trying to roll the covers as we go with our Kinze planter. At the NNTC Yetter had rolling baskets that bolt in where the rowcleaners attach to the row unit. Has air down pressure. We really aren't looking to put a full roller on the planter, but would like to get the cover down around the row.

Has anyone used the yetter or similar for rolling basket just around the row? The folks at the Yetter display talked of a guy in Ontario that was happy with them. We have been on the " bleeding edge" lots, just trying to make it farther toward the leading edge this time.

TIA.
