Subject: RE: Laying out a farm yard help

SW KS, near Dodge City
1 acre for the house, then across the road or a ways away, the working setup. Man plans, God laughs kind of philosophy. You know how you WANT things to work out right now, but we're all 1 accident away from there being major changes to those plans.

With the working facilities (bins, pens) separate, you have an asset that you can either turn into cash by selling or by renting out if your operation changes and you no longer need those... Much tougher to do if they are part of your yard. This is for 15 years down the road when you want to expand/grow. Do you want that in your yard?
