SWSD | Globalization and open trade of goods and services, by its very nature results in member countries to become "averaged". Rich countries are dragged down, poor countries rise up. Its kinda like mixing white and black paint - stir it long enough and it becomes gray. The rich get less rich, the poor get less poor. Stop globalization and build walls - and we return to the rich get richer and poor get poorer.
So, one may argue that if you are concerned on a global scale with the development of lets say a "human standard of living", perhaps it (globalization) is a good thing. But it is socialism locked in that awkward dance with Darwinism that evolution has yet to rectify.
If you think that it is intrinsically part of human DNA to let the rich get richer and let the poor get poorer, that is fine. Survival of the fittest and all that.....but the greater the economic divide we create in the world, the more unrest. That is human nature too, the have nots will seek out the haves and the paint will mix - this time with a little red. Show me a wall in history that hasn't come down. So, pay me now or pay me later...your currency will decide your fate.
