Ask me
For Milo with Kochia problem

1 Fl Oz Balance Flex, 1pt Dicamba 1st of March (Id put in on in Febuary in Hereford)
Followed by Lumax and alot of RU at planting.

Spartan can stunt milo if applied late. We misplanted some milo on a Sunflower circle last year. Milo emerged buy was yellow and stunted. Ended up killing and planting Sunflower. If I remember correctly its 10 months plantback to milo. There are other Group 14 pre emergence herbicides that have little to no plantback time.

Look into getting some Valor. Its 30 days back to milo at 2fl oz or less. Every 1 fl oz should get you 1 month of residual. (Rough Estimate) Since most of the Kochia comes up in Febuary this should cover your nut.

If you miss the boat and Kochia germinates, consider Aim at 1-2fl oz with 6 oz 24D and 1% MSO v/v @ a minimum of 10 Gallon per acre (20 GPA would be better.)

If the Kochia is still there after milo germination you can cultivate or spray with generic Starane right up to boot. Starane does stop stooling though, but in my experience is one of the least detrimental chemicals for over the top Milo.

What will work will be whatever your neighbors aren't using. Based on your description I would say that most everything should work ;-)

Here's a soundtrack for your decision making process:
