Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251

A neighbor had a 7700 combine and the engine acted up. He was in the field, and had his mechanic tear it down where it sat. He laid a white sheet on the ground and laid all the parts down in order as he removed them. When he left to get parts, a buddy took a bunch of green painted bolts out of a junked JD engine and mixed them in with the others on the sheet.

My dad tells the story of him and his brother working on a threshing crew in the '40's.  They took a nap after lunch, and someone had killed a big snake earlier.  They tied a string to a sleeping guys boot and the other end to the snake and then they all started yelling.  He woke up, saw the snake and took off at a dead run, screaming his head off.

There was a mechanic that worked in a shop near by.  He bought a new truck and was very anal about it.  He would check the fluids every night before he drove home for the day.  Some of the other workers started pouring a little antifreeze on the concrete under the truck.  He over time replaced the hoses, water pump, and the head.  He never did find the leak, and finally he got so fed up he traded the truck off.
