Yes your dealer is correct, you as the owner are responsible to insure the display and the activations, Deere states very clearly that in the case of fire or theft that Activation's will not be replaced, in the case of physical damage or failure of the component as long as the serial number tag is intact and a picture can be submitted to Deere the activations can be warranted and a new code can be generated to re-activate. The S/N of the failed component will be listed in Stellar Support as warranted so even if you have the Display/Receiver repaired it will not be allowed to have an activation entered.
