We've all seen people who can eat all they want and weigh 175 pounds and conversely there are people who eat very similarly that weigh 225. Does that mean the big man is more efficient or that the smaller man has a higher metabolism or does it mean anything? I think there is way more to cow efficiency than just size and percent of calf weaned. Raise the size and shape of cow that you are comfortable with that fits your environment. I'd much rather own a broody high capacity cow that weighs 1400 than a big frame tall cow with no guts that weighs 1400.
