I agree smaller cows take less feed, I'm not arguing that fact but I can't think that it can be close to linear either. Just to live takes energy. I also agree it is less surface area on a small cow but the surface on 100 vs 89 has to be more. So the energy to maintain the 100 smaller cows should still take more than the 89. Maybe I am looking too far into this, but I have a hard time believing it can be equal. Maybe 96 vs 89 or 98 vs 89. Just was trying to see if there is any data that supports my thoughts.
