Do August 1st here. Have less trouble with heat than with cold in the winter. You get the majority of them on the ground before the combine starts around Labor Day. Have done 75 in the last two years and haven't lost any from heat but they have been fairly mild temps also. It's a crap shoot how ever you do it just what ever works best for your time and work load.
