Wouldn't be the end of the world as long as they drop corporate rates as low as they are saying.  Not worth carrying that low basis to save 15% on the difference.  Problem is I can see all that happening then in the future raising the tax rate and never bringing back the 1031.  I theorized several months ago it would go away if they do indeed lower the corporate rate.  Can't have your cake and eat it too.
