south east SD | I haven't asked a silly question in a long time, so here's mine.
This fall about during harvest we have a field that has two hills that drop into a valley then back up, I'll guess and say 30 feet or so. Well I was unloading into a 1000 bushel cart and the cart was getting closer to full and here came the hill! Our cart driver that day was a neighbor over 70 but very good tractor driver. He has our 8260R with Power shift, not IVT, ILS and dauls all around. He pushed the throttle ahead as he was going up the hill, well it was in to high of a gear and almost killed it! Saw him hit the clutch and shift down and the tractor promptly began to dig down and still no go!! Clutch again and now he hits the MFD, away he goes up the hill. The one thing I learned is, radio silence sometimes is a good thing!! | |
