after you do whatever u do and go back to no till you should consider cover crops. They really help with compaction, and crusting in a no till system. This is a picture of my soil which I dug up with my hand after apply 6000 gals of hog manure with a semi in July. It seriously compacted the soil. The clear thing is an earthworm egg.
