When in Rome...
I wouldn't expect to get any decent seafood in Indiana. Even if you could get some good and fresh, the experience of how to prepare it right is more prevalent wherever that type of dish comes from.
I can't get good lamb outside of the Great Basin either.
I have yet to find proof that good lamb exists anywhere.
I do agree with the "when in Rome" idea though. Turns out you can get really good Italian food in Rome. When in Kansas, order the steak. Get out of Kansas and within at least a couple hundred miles of salt water for good seafood. Maybe I need to go visit Australia to find out if lamb can be made edible, but those guys like Vegemite so I'm not holding out much hope.
