NE Iowa | When running a paradyme on the plow without an ethernet cable hooked up, you will still see number of satellites, hdop, vdop, pdop, and other basic GPS diagnostics. It will not be as detailed as it is when it's hooked up via ethernet cable. You cannot access any information in the paradyme setup/configuration menu's.
If your using a portable base or running off of a network like DigiFarm, once you have everything configured the first time for the plow once you power up the system everything should connect and work, so there really isn't a need to have the ethernet cord there. It's more of a convenience thing if you do need to troubleshoot..
Swenzel is correct on having to modify Ag Leader's harness, I don't know why they make the harness that way when they know it will not work with an external radio/cell modem. | |
