E.Central MN | As your ethanol plant shows, there are many more shuttle loader facilities now than there were 30-40 years ago. So not only do we have eplants grinding corn year around, but we also rail corn out year around versus back in the day we had to wait til the river opened in April to load out corn and road restrictions came on then. If the market wants corn today trucks move. I don't know that Jan/Feb are exactly boom times to sell corn as local cash prices are barely above $3.00, would feel different if they were offering $3.75/$4.00 like some parts of the country are getting. | |
