Fargo, ND | Following up from a previous post;
NDSU Extension is continuing the ND Soybean Producer Survey for 2016 to detect trends across ND soybean production fields limiting yield. In order to provide region-specific extension information and management recommendations, we are requesting field and harvest data for 4 soybean fields on your operation to be recorded on a producer survey. I have attached the 2016 survey form and a letter further explaining the project objectives and benefits to you as a producer.
One of the benefits of contributing to this survey is we provide producers with periodic reports from our analysis of collected data. As expected, producers throughout the state have shown continued interest in comparing their practices to the regional and state results/recommendations based on the 500+ producer fields collected for the 2015/14 seasons. With continued survey contributions of 2016 fields, we will better understand production factors limiting current soybean yields. The objective of this project is to assist producers in bringing their yields closer to maximum yield potential for their growing region.
Keep in mind, all data submissions will be kept strictly confidential. Reports and data shared will never identify a specific producer or field location.
If you prefer a paper survey in the mail, please provide your mailing address and I will include a pre-paid return envelope. Your county extension agent is familiar with the project and can assist with completing the survey if you would like me to inform them.
Thank you for your time and assistance in improving soybean yields in North Dakota.
