E.Central MN | A couple years ago I had beef almost ready to pick up and didn't have enough freezer space. Happened to see a chest freezer on a local auction bill. It didn't show any pictures or say how old it was, I figured I was most likely wasting my time. I got there and the freezer looked good, it was a full size chest freezer and was sitting against the wall in the garage with a couple rows of furniture sitting in front of it. Looked it over, bid a couple times and got it for $40. Waited so people could load up the furniture and get that out of the way. Didn't take long, I backed my truck up to the garage door. Somebody asked me what I bought, I said the freezer, and before I knew it, two guys had loaded it for me. It works great. I take soybean seed bags to the butcher shop to bring the meat home in, I just sit the bags in the chest freezer. About 3 bags/quarter. When a relative comes to get their meat I just lift the bags out and carry them to the car. | |
