West Central IL
I wouldn't trade my upright for anything. I love not having to lay in the thing digging stuff that was long forgotten in the bottom. I haven't had any of the drying out problems that have been described. I put a 1/4 beef in mine in January, pull the last of it out in December and it fine as the day it went in. The only downfall I see, you lose more cold air when you open it then you would in a chest type. I was a bit worried it wouldn't hold as much as a chest type, but I think it holds just as much. The door sort of vacuum seals shut when it's closed.
