NW Washington | I have a similar problem with my left thumb and I think it is arthritis which is not uncommon. I think drinking a little tart cherry juice helps mine and I found some dried tart cherries at Costco that I eat a few of each day now. The dried cherries are sweetened and are actually quite tasty. Check this link and google arthritis in thumb and hands. Another little joy of old age.
