| You won’t want to miss the Eighth Annual Southern Indiana Grazing Conference (SIGC) on March 8, 2017! The SIGC will again be held at the WestGate Academy near Odon, Indiana. The conference will give attendees a chance to learn more about the holistic approach of using livestock as a management tool to improve the soil and forages, along with improving or maintaining animal performance in a sustainable and profitable way. The SIGC will feature cattleman Teddy Gentry from the country music group Alabama, and the owner of Bent Tree Cattle Company; Joshua Dukart, a Holistic Management Certified Educator and rancher near Bismarck, North Dakota; and Darin Williams, an unconventional producer from Waverly, Kansas. Our 2017 speakers are highly respected in the grazing world, and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the SIGC. For more information about the SIGC, contact the Daviess County Soil and Water Conservation District, 812-254-4780, ext. 3 or email [email protected].
