Bummer... any chance they are unknowingly backed up? Two places come to mind...

First possibility is Google backup... Access the gmail account associated with your phone on your computer. From a Google.com tab, click on the 3x3 grid icon on the upper R.H. side of the page. There well be a photo icon to click on. That's where they would be if set to backup to Google.

Secondly, your phone service provider may automatically back them up... For ME, I tap on Verizon>Cloud>(Menu Icon)>Photos. A quick call or store visit will get you there as well. Hopefully this was automatically set up for you.
