I have quite a few areas like that. In some spots I no longer plant ANYTHING along the woods. For instance, I have a 20' 8 row (30") planter and normally put 60' of end rows (3 swaths).  In those areas which regularly are wiped out by deer, coons, or even shading/competition by the trees.... I will skip the closest 8 rows. In others I will slide out into the field 2-3 rows.

I will however, spray right up to the line to keep weeds down.
