Can't speculate on your situation, or the folks in your area, but in my area it's not a stereotype. The kids in my area that have lifted, tuned trucks are also jobless, i.e. someone else is paying for it. I can't hate them for that, if anything I'm jealous, I'd gladly quit my job if I could find someone to pay my bills!
