Subject: Grain handling

Central Mn.
We are in the beginning stages of a grain handling overhaul. We want to add dry storage on to our existing 60000 bushel bin with another 100000. Just wondering if people prefer the new grain pumps or is air systems better. We are thinking there would be some savings in electrical work from grain pumps versus just putting up deadhead airtubes. We would be coming from our 1100 bu/hr dryer. It will work either way but with no 3 phase, we will need a converter to run the air pump. Any thoughts. Most of our bin augers and such are all wore out so we need to do something. How long do the air tubes last before you have to replace?
