I think it's kinda funny.  A few years ago everyone on here was saying that the electronics on all these new fangled tractors were going to render them worthless when they get up in hours.  Jump ahead to today and everyone on here is saying that they are the most sawed after tractors and the best and most reliable tractors ever built!  So, what is the future for the R series guys?



The same was said when the 9600 combine came out, look how dependable they were. 



Good things can be overdone. I think sometimes we may be to that point. As far as R Series, the emissions is what bothers me as much as anything. But, overall, it seems like they have plenty of "gadgets" They are sweet to operate. Unless Deere has it figured out better than the over the road truck engine manufacturers do, I know some farmers that won't be happy down the road when this stuff starts making headaches. I drive commercially for a friend of mine. The emissions systems leave something to be desired, to put it mildly. Hopefully, the engine manufacturers can get the bugs out of what they have, or come up with something better.
