Subject: HARD starting JD 4840

Anyone have a good fix to make this tractor start easier??
It's always been a hard starter....IF I am not mistaken the hyd pump will not kick out until a certain pressure is meet? We have hyds hook up and yes the connections leak a bit.
Years ago we had a JD 500 loader with a Hyd disconnect that worked well. You would pull a lever on the left side that would disengage the hyd pump. Start the tractor and engage the hyd pump. Is there something like that out there for sale?

And YES.....batteries and starter are good.
Engine has 7K ours uses no oil.....good power. Starts better in the summer months....but still starts hard.

Has someone come up with a fix?
