Subject: RE: Pickups and Farmers

Floyd County, Iowa
I'm a "northerner". Yup, we have some rusty vehicles.
We also have some stupid people. That's why we have rusty vehicles.
The stupid people can't remember that when it snows, the roads get slippery, and they should get up earlier or head out sooner, 'cause it's going to take just a little longer. Happens every year.
The gov't helps them retain their stupidity by pouring salt and salt brine on the roads so the stupids can drive at summer speeds during the winter. The rest of us pay the price in either rusted vehicles or higher taxes for winter road maintenance.
Maybe it's a little of "I'm important, and I have things to do, so get out of my way."
I try to leave my good pickup in the shop during salt season and drive the older rusty one. If I do have to take it out, it gets the underbody wash treatment.
my 2 cents
